How You Can Make an Impact
The Construction Quality Assurance Specialist will oversee and audit the quality of every construction project. Ensure that the construction projects are planned and executed in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards, and requirements of MGE and the contract. This position will work with all departments to develop and execute QA plans to meet and exceed company and customer requirements. Monitoring of activities, including results, infractions, providing analysis and identifying areas of improvement for the project and quality teams.
How You Will Contribute
- Provide construction quality assurance reviews, audits, oversight, and advice to project teams during construction, and project completion.
- In collaboration with the Project Management Department, monitor and control project Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) to ensure compliance with contract requirements and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide oversight in schedule reviews, ensure customer deadlines are met and project closeout paperwork is completed.
- Manage an overall Construction QA performance dashboard to monitor and report on construction quality for every project.
- Manage submission and tracking of all construction audits and closeout completion requirements, ensuring timely submission.
- Complete and Process Go-Backs and IDOCs.
- Work with General Foreman, Foreman, and Project Management to ensure all projects are completed to customer specification and submitted correctly.
- Create and maintain reports, KPIs, dashboards, forecasting, and tracking for the quality department and other departments.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements opportunities.
- Provide training to other team members on construction standards and quality assurance procedures.
- Provide backup and support to other Quality department team members and other departments.
- Build relationships to foster trust, collaboration, and a positive climate to achieve common goals.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Your Prior Experience
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- Minimum 1 year of related experience.
Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
