HOW YOU WILL MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK
The Job Cost Analyst prepares the monthly work-in-progress reports by working with the accounting and project management teams to obtain up-to-date contract information. This detailed information includes contract values, projected costs, actual costs, total billings, and profitability on various short-term and long-term contracts.  This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing data to prepare and finalize the monthly WIP report to be distributed to internal and external stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include obtaining accurate data to complete the monthly SOV report for PG&E. As part of managing the work-in-progress reporting, the Job Cost Analyst will process cost adjustments as requested and work closely with project managers to identify billing opportunities and complete job close-outs. 

WHAT WE ENTRUST YOU TO DO
  • Compile, organize, and analyze complex financial information and raw data.
  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records.
  • Process cost adjustments and change orders in accordance with company policy.
  • Respond to and/or resolve questions, issues, or disputes from internal/external customers
  • Prepare monthly SOV for PG&E.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting regarding work in progress (WIP) and submit to management team as specified.
  • Work closely with accounting and project management teams.
  • Document workflow, procedures, checklists, and policies for assigned tasks.
  • Ensure all deadlines and schedules are met on time and in accordance with company policies.
  • Review and audit outsourced data and tasks.
  • Identify process improvements and process automation and proposed solutions.
  • Perform ad hoc analytical projects as assigned.
  • Support audit requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on various projects with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines.

YOUR PRIOR EXPERIENCE
  • Required: Three years of accounting experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with construction accounting.
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Desired: Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
COMPETITIVE PACKAGE
The pay range for the Job Cost Analyst  in Paso Robles, CA is $71,000- to $85,00 yearly.
This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on a number of factors, such as experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
