HOW YOU WILL MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

The Field Construction Coordinator will primarily be on site with the construction crews. This position will support the general foreman with required project documentation, timecards, and pre-fielding. This role will also work closely with project management and act as a link between the field and office.  Attention to and advocating safety in the field at all times is a must.

WHAT WE ENTRUST YOU TO DO
  • Work in the field to support construction crews.
  • Mark out & submit USA tickets and site survey requests.
  • Pre-field/layout job site.
  • Notify relevant government agencies regarding applicable planned work.
  • Support the operations with daily routine issues regarding construction of jobs.
  • Support construction crews during construction phase to safely deliver a quality product.
  • Gather close out documentation from the field, compile and submit As-Builts and completion packs to clients, ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Interpret specs specs/drawings and order supplies and materials pertinent to the project.
  • Assist with inventory and deliveries.
  • Place barricades and signage as needed to notify customers of upcoming work
  • Coordinate with the field crew and project management regarding any red-line changes
  • Coordinate with the field crew to gather all required backup documentation; including LME signatures, pictures, etc. needed for completion packs, go-backs, and invoicing
  • Create, update, and submit crew timecards.
  • Support pre-construction activities including all dependencies to setup jobs for timely construction start.
  • Create Time & Material bills for extra work as required.
  • Complete daily unit quantities, job diaries, and MSE list (Material, Subsistence, Equipment).
  • Support field operations with coordination of scheduled customer shutdowns.
  • Coordinate with project management to confirm upcoming jobs are cleared, and ready for construction
  • Coordinate job packs and review and interpret construction drawings and crew instructions
  • Communicate with customers, and all internal departments involved with the project, regarding project plan & daily scope execution.   
  • Support operations and GF to facilitate updated project schedule.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • The ability to work flexible schedule based on job which can include weekends, overtime or shift work on an as needed basis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize HCSS Heavy Job Field Management Software.
  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

YOUR PRIOR EXPERIENCE
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of Construction Administration or related experience, preferably in the construction utility industry.

COMPETITIVE PACKAGE
The pay range for the Field Construction Coordinator in Salinas, CA is $32.00 to $35.00 per hour.

This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on a number of factors, such as experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.
