As an Associate Project Manager, you will be responsible for completing all assigned tasks by organizing and controlling all elements of a project. This position will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Your ultimate responsibility is to bring a budgeted and successful project to life while satisfying all parties involved.
How You Will Contribute
Pay: $90,000 - $115,000 annually
This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.

As an Associate Project Manager, you will be responsible for completing all assigned tasks by organizing and controlling all elements of a project. This position will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. Your ultimate responsibility is to bring a budgeted and successful project to life while satisfying all parties involved.
How You Will Contribute
- Participate in all phases of the project cycle; pre-fielding, estimating, development, construction, billing and final acceptance.
- Coordinate with the Superintendents regarding daily schedules including manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
- Assist in creating the baseline schedule from the job estimate.
- Write effective proposals, RFIs, and letters of intent.
- Schedule and attend pre-construction with Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Communicates with internal team, public officials, general public and customers regarding project plans & designs, identified problems, proposed solutions, estimated time frames.
- Create sub-contract agreements and manage sub-contractors.
- Review daily timecards/quantities and generate master/field files.
- Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
- Document any delays and/or changes to the scope of work.
- Create/Assist in processing change orders.
- Maintain/Review as-built drawings.
- Manage and direct the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
- Responsible for assisting on billings/WIP Reports/forecast/project cash flow/etc.
- Communicates project status on a regular basis to all stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and complete several projects concurrently, depending on scope and complexity.
- Interprets applicable codes, industry standards, and regulations and educates others.
- Assist in guiding/training the work to less experienced team members.
- Identify and communicate lessons learned and incorporate prior lessons learned as best practices into projects.
- Expand existing business through relationship development with owner representatives of the projects.
- Ensure adherence to all Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards.
- Travel to job sites when needed.
- Responsible for the supervision and training of Project Management Coordinators.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by your supervisor.
- Knowledge of construction procedures.
- Understands the process of building a job from start to finish.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, plans, specs, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Proficient in planning, scheduling, and production.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent analytical and planning skills.
- Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and verbal instructions.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Preferred: B.S. Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
- Required: 3 years of verifiable utility construction management experience with a degree OR 5 years of verifiable utility construction management experience without a degree.
- Preferred: Experience in estimating
